NatureRights- watch your planet – website under construction
We were talking about it a few months ago. We now have the confirmation that our team will officially participate at the Copenhagen Climate Summit thanks to the Leading Group on Innovative Financing for Development.
This International event will be for us the opportunity to present our foundation to official institutions, stakeholders as well as to create partnerships with NGO’s and environmental programs.
NatureRights at Copenhagen
Our team has been invited to present NatureRights at the french Embassy of Copenhagen on December 14th. This opportunity will allow us to honor our collaboration with the Leading Group in addition to demonstrate how our platform can be an innovative financing tool towards environmental issues.
Furthermore, our web interface demo will be shown continuously to all participants at the Iseet Kiosk on both December 14th and 15th. The Kiosk will seek to show, display, present and exhibit practical examples of existing and upcoming technologies and practices along with related products and services showing how ICT is and can be used to combat climate change. The Kiosk will also serve to highlight the role that governments, the private sector and civil society are playing in using ICTs to bring about technological innovation and technology transfer to support mitigation and adaptation
The NatureRights presentation at the kiosk is scheduled for December 15th at 3pm.
A part of our team will also cover the Klimaforum 2009, the non-official summit created by and for citizens. The exhibitions program is available here: http://www.klimaforum09.org/Exhibitions
Covering Cop15
8 members of our foundation will be present in Copenhagen from December 11th to the 18th. In order to capture the fervor of the international event which is said to be one the most important in this beginning of new century, every single one of the 8 will be equipped with digital cameras.
During the Cop15 summit, they will post daily videos on this blog, on our dailymotion channel (http://www.dailymotion.com/naturerights) and of course on twitter (http://twitter.com/naturerights). All of you will be able to follow their day to day life in Copenhagen.
The Copenhagen Climate Summit at a glance
For those who still don’t know about it, in order to reach an agreement dedicated to fighting climate changes, the Heads of state and government of the world will be in Copenhagen on December 2009 . The objective is to come up with a new successor to the 1997 Kyoto protocol, the first global, legally binding contract to reduce greenhouses gases.
The Kyoto Protocol will expire in 2012. The aim of the Copenhagen summit is to set new objectives for the post-2013 period.
